Central West Conservation Agreement Program

The Nature Conservation Trust and the Central West Catchment Management Authority have recently partnered to implement an incentive program that focuses on biodiversity conservation in the Central West catchment.

The program will be completed during the 09/10 financial year, with up to eight properties to be covenanted, covering approximately 3020 hectares of the catchment and protecting Endangered Ecological Communities, under-represented woodland communities, as well as threatened woodland birds and animals such as the Glossy Black-cockatoo and Swift Parrot.

Successful applications will receive funding to completed works such as dam decommissioning, fencing, and weed and pest control.

Applications for expressions of interest to the 09/10 program have now closed.
