In 2007/2008 the Capertee Valley Trust Agreement Program commenced and was extended into 2008/2009 with funding provided by the Hawkesbury-Nepean Catchment Management Authority.
The Capertee Valley's habitat is a vital area for the protection of the endangered Regent Honeyeater, housing two-thirds of the known population of the species.
