To date, the Nature Conservation Trust has protected over 22,000 hectares of high conservation land across 50 properties. These properties contain over 85 different ecosystems in NSW, including three which are nationally threatened, and habitat for more than 100 threatened plant and animal species.
Our sights are now set on purchasing and protecting more properties, but we need your help to raise the funds required. One of the properties we are hoping to purchase is in an area adjacent to the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. By buying this property, we can help link existing protected areas in the region and safeguard key habitat for many threatened species, including the spotted-tail quoll, koala, regent honeyeater, glossy black cockatoo and powerful owl.
By making a donation to support the Nature Conservation Trust, you can help us protect amazing places like this forever. Better still, your donation will be used over and over again to buy and protect more special places across NSW.
To donate online, click here. Alternatively, send your cheque or money order (payable to the Nature Trust Public Fund) to our Lismore office at PO Box 1121, Lismore NSW 2480, or call our Sydney office on 02 9564 4718. Donations over $2 are tax deductible. If you are interested in making a bequest to the NCT in your will, please call 02 9564 4718 or send us an email.
Thank you for your support.
P.S. Less than 8% of the rich natural heritage of NSW is protected in areas such as national parks. The vast majority of land is under private ownership. Our goal is to protect 50,000 hectares of private land across 150 properties in NSW over the next five years. Your support will help us achieve, and very likely exceed, this target.
