At the Nature Conservation Trust (NCT) our goal is to protect the environment by working in partnership with private land owners to conserve the natural value of their properties. Integral to the success of private land conservation is the ongoing guidance and support the NCT gives private rural land owners.
The NCT not only provides support to land owners who have purchased their high conservation value property through our Conservation Property Fund, but also to any private land owners who have added a NCT conservation agreement (land covenant) to their rural property. The NCT is also building a reputation as a strong support network for independent private land owners, outside of the NCT network, who are looking for guidance on how to manage their land for its conservation value as well as legal and financial support.
The NCT publishes an e-Newsletter four times a year to provide private land owners with the information they need to apply for financial grants to help them with the ongoing management of their property as well as tips on how to maintain the natural biodiversity of their land – nurturing native animal and plant communities.
If you need some guidance or support in managing your rural property contact the NCT. We can supply information about ecological surveys, financial grants for managing weeds and pests, or the legal details of conservation land covenants.
